It’s mornings like this one that make me glad I am sober – hangover free. . .
We (the office) was having issues with guests logging into the company WiFi and my polycom isn’t working* (the big conference room phone). I’ve been crawling around under the conference room table checking connections, working with our IT group in NYC trying to get the password issue to the WiFi figured out, hopping between my desk and the conference room. I would use the polycom so I didn’t have to keep running back and forth, but see above *. I would have been SO NOT helpful if I had a headache and queasy stomach. I would have been in pain but pretending I was fine. Plus, I would only be working at it half-assed because I wouldn’t be feeling well.
Guess I need to remember days like this. Put a big stickie note on my monitor to remind me!!
I, once again, have to thank all of you out there from the day 1er’s to the many yearer’s (I know, not a word). I read as many posts as I can a day. They always help me remember where I’ve been, how grateful I am to be where I am, and give me hope for my future. Since I don’t go to AA, the blogs are my link to others like me. I would not be where I am now if not for all of you.
Namaste 🙂
Debbie, glad you are through the weekend and also I love your quote box

Hi Debbie- like you, and likely everyone! – I’m so thankful to wake up and be hangover free today. I have just started a new position and the learning curve is HUGE. If I were hungover I’d be missing so much and hating on myself. Instead, today I feel engaged, competent, and alert. Yay for hangover free days! Elee
Especially starting a new position!! You certainly want to be on your game, and being alert and “there” are great feelings. Thanks for sharing! D
Thanks, Jean!
Can I use that photo? I just wrote a blog about getting a flat tire today but not letting it affect my sobriety.
Yes, you can use the photo!
Thanks
I am happy to read it. Have a beautiful day 🙂
